From the moment Wilson Moore answered God’s call to ministry at the age of 21, his life has been a living testimony to the power of the gospel. Over the years, Wilson has faithfully served in a variety of roles — Youth Pastor, Worship Pastor, and now Head Pastor of Rekindled Church. His journey has taken him from the classroom at Fruitland Baptist Bible College to the pulpit,
Wilson’s passions are as clear as his preaching — teach the Bible faithfully and do the work of an evangelist. His vision for Rekindled Church is simple but powerful: “Tell others about Jesus and make disciples.” He trusts God to build His church and holds fast to the promise that His Word will not return void.
As a singer/songwriter with Rekindled Worship, Wilson blends his love for music with his calling to ministry, using lyrics and melodies to draw hearts closer to Christ. Whether behind a guitar or behind the pulpit, he has one mission — to see people made alive by the gospel and growing in their knowledge of Jesus.
When he’s not leading the church or writing songs, Wilson works at Legacy Dream Center in Norwood, NC — a faith-based ministry that tackles the challenges of addiction with truth, compassion, and hope.
Wilson is blessed to serve alongside his wife, Tessa Moore, who leads the Rekindled Children’s Ministry with the same dedication and love for Jesus. Together, they share a heart to see lives transformed, families strengthened, and Christ glorified in all things.
When it comes to music that honors Christ and stirs the soul, Braden Harwood is right at the heart of it. As Worship Pastor and an elder at Rekindled Church, Braden pours his time, talent, and heart into producing, writing, and recording many of the songs our congregation sings each week. His passion goes beyond melody — Braden is committed to crafting music that is both theologically sound and doctrinally faithful to God’s Word.
Braden’s heart is that of a true worshiper, not just in song, but in the way he lives. Whether he’s leading the church in praise, encouraging the body with a new song, or mentoring young musicians, he seeks to point every note and lyric back to Jesus.
Outside of his role at the church, Braden serves as the Trail Life Troop Leader for Troop #0667, guiding young men in character, leadership, and faith. He also owns and operates Music Man Instruction and Production, where he offers music lessons, professional audio and video recording, and graphic design services — all with the same excellence and passion that mark his ministry.
As a singer/songwriter with Rekindled Worship, Braden helps give our church a soundtrack that is rich in truth, beautiful in sound, and overflowing with the joy of the Lord.
If you ask the kids at Rekindled Church who their favorite teacher is, you’ll hear one name over and over — “Mrs. Tess!” As Children’s Minister, Tessa Moore brings joy, creativity, and a deep love for Jesus into everything she does. Married to Pastor Wilson since 2005, the Moores make their home in Albemarle, NC, where they enjoy walking, hiking, and serving the Lord together.
Tessa’s passion for children’s ministry started early — at just 15 years old, she began working with kids and teens, and she’s never looked back. She knows this isn’t just something she does — it’s her calling. Whether it’s a Bible lesson, a hands-on activity, or an impromptu game, Tessa is always dreaming up ways to make the gospel come alive for young hearts.
A Stanly County native, Tessa graduated from Stanly Community College in 2007 and went on to earn her Bachelor’s in Birth–Kindergarten Education from Western Carolina University. During the week, you can find her teaching 4th grade at Aquadale Elementary School in Stanly County, where her gift for connecting with children continues to shine.
With her infectious energy, tender heart, and unwavering commitment to pointing kids toward Christ, Mrs. Tess is more than just a leader in children’s ministry — she’s a spiritual mentor, a cheerleader, and a friend to every child who walks through the doors of Rekindled Church.
If you’ve ever been in a Sunday service and found yourself wondering “Who’s that guy with the guitar and the big smile?” — chances are, you’ve already met Elder Chad Hamilton. Chad isn’t just a gifted singer/songwriter with Rekindled Worship; he’s a man on a mission to point people straight to Jesus, one heartfelt lyric at a time.
When he’s not leading the congregation in powerful worship or penning songs that sound like they were written straight from the pages of the Psalms, you can find Chad at his day job with Clayton Mobile Homes in Rockwell, NC. There, he pours the same dedication and integrity into helping families find their homes as he does into helping people find their hope in Christ.
Chad’s music is a blend of passionate worship and authentic storytelling — the kind that makes you want to lift your hands, tap your feet, and maybe even shed a tear or two (the good kind). Whether he’s on stage with Rekindled Worship, strumming a tune in the living room, or lending a hand at church events, Chad’s heart for people shines through.
Around here, we know him as more than just an elder or a musician. Chad Hamilton is a friend, a servant leader, and a living reminder that worship isn’t just something you do on Sunday — it’s a way of life.
If there’s one thing Chuck Swaringen is known for, it’s bringing energy, encouragement, and a genuine love for people wherever he goes — especially when it comes to the next generation. As an elder at Rekindled Church, Chuck is passionate about pouring into the lives of youth, helping them discover who they are in Christ and challenging them to live boldly for Him.
Chuck doesn’t just talk about hard work and commitment — he lives it. He’s the owner and operator of not one, but two successful businesses: Resurrection and Rust (where old treasures get new life) and DrySafe Dryer & Vent Solutions (keeping homes safe one dryer vent at a time). Whether he’s leading in the church or leading in business, Chuck’s mission is the same: honor God in all things.
When he’s working with the youth, you’ll often find Chuck bringing the gospel to life through real conversations, practical teaching, and a big dose of encouragement. His goal is simple — to see young people grow into strong, faithful followers of Jesus who aren’t afraid to stand out for their faith.
In both ministry and the marketplace, Chuck Swaringen is proof that God can use a willing heart and hard-working hands to make a lasting difference.
If it’s on a screen at Rekindled Church — whether it’s a lyric slide, a sermon graphic, a promo video, or a social media post — chances are Doyle Rowan had a hand in making it happen. As Media/Tech Director and an elder, Doyle combines his creative skills with his ministry heart to help the church share the gospel in ways that are visually compelling, technologically smooth, and spiritually impactful.
Doyle has a passion for graphic design, web design, video production, and social media marketing — not just as creative outlets, but as tools to tell the greatest story ever told: the good news of Jesus Christ.
During the week, Doyle works as an IT Specialist at GHA Autism Supports in Albemarle, where he began his career in 1997 as Direct Care Staff. His journey in both ministry and the workplace has been shaped by a commitment to serve with excellence, whether he’s troubleshooting a network issue or designing a new ministry website.
